9 months on the 9th

I haven't felt like I've had anything interesting to blog about lately but i'm trying to get better. First an update on Gavin.
- 5 teeth, 3 up 2 down. With 3 more really close.
- Done breastfeeding, with the occasional middle of the night feeding
- Eating 3 meals a day of solids, and usually 2 bottles
-18lbs 8 oz
- Got his first haircut!!
- scooting/crawling everywhere
- pulls himself up and is starting to cruise the furniture
-finally finally said momma. only 3 times but i'm workin on him
-loves feet. i think he has a foot fetish, for real. he wants to touch everything with his feet, and i mean everything
- And he'll be 9 months old soon!
Now for the rest of us. :) I canned peaches with my mom yesterday, i felt so domestic! ha It was pretty exciting.We're going to do one more round and I think I'll do some pears too. Maybe even do freezer jam if my mom isn't sick of me yet.
Last weekend Ty and I went quadding with Brant and Lindsey Hansen up to Blue Lake. We had a blast. Ty carried Gavin is his pack and Daisy ran beside us. It was a fun trail and the lake was so nice. Ty caught 4 fish, so he was pretty excited about that. Gavin was awesome. I couldn't believe it, he never made a sound the entire day, he just loved looking around at everything. What a sport!
Ty's been slaving away at work. He works really long days, so that's been tough not seeing him very much. He's going to try and go to school in January and get his first year, which means he'll get a raise! yay! My mat leave is up in October so we're thinking I'll at least need to work part-time...somewhere. So if you have any ideas or here anything please let me know.

Designer Cloth Diapers!

K so I'm so excited for my sister! She has been working her butt off to get her business bigger and better. And she did an awesome job!! 6 months!!

Gavin is 6 months! I can hardly believe it! He was actually 6 mo a week ago, but i'm just getting to this now. He is so much fun to have around. He makes me smile and laugh all the time and brightens up everyday. I can't help but smile every time i look at him. So here's a little update on him.
- 18 lbs roughly
- He's sitting up by himself
- He got his 2 bottom teeth in
- He's eating solids 1-2 times a day
- He loves his jolly jumper!
- Babbles all the time! says dada most of the time
- started blowing bubbles and popping his bottom lip...if that makes sense ha
- Grabs everything!! - ha and he's getting really quick, I really have to pay attention
- He's getting a lot more balance, so he can almost stand by the couch by himself.
- and lucky for me...he's so happy all the time!

I'm drawing a blank for anything else, so if i think of more i'll post it later!

JK. We are very happy. Ty is looking into an apprentice job as an electrician, right here in Barnwell. Which explains the broke part of the title. We would definitely be scraping by for a while, but we know it's going to be worth it in the long run.
Moving on....Gavin is getting so big!! He's 16 lbs and 26 in long. I can't believe how big he is. He doesn't look like a baby anymore, he's my little boy!!
Kinsey's shower went better than planned! Yay! I'm not sad it's over tho ha. I kept talking it up to Kinsey, so when it started to get close i totally panicked. But it turned out awesome and Kinse got spoiled! :) Just as planned. Anyways that's just a quick update on us! Pictures from Gavin's latest shoot soon!!

The last little while...

Me & Gav!

Gavin's latest accomplishments have been walking & talking. He's crazy, he babbles non-stop, and whenever he's standing he wants to walk. I'm guessing he walks around 7 or 8 months. I tried to upload a movie of him 'talking' but it wouldn't load.... He goes for his 4 month shots tomorrow...not that excited about it. With his teeth moving around and needles it could be stressful the next few days. Wish me luck!
Ty and I have just been hanging out, enjoying his time off. We're hoping it keeps warming up so we can go camping before he goes back.
I finally got Kinsey's bridal shower planned and invitations out. I ended up making close to 50. And the ones too far to deliver I just sent a message on Facebook or called. So hopefully it goes as planned and is lots of fun for her.

Blessing Day

Last Sunday we blessed Gavin. Ty's dad, Todd, did the blessing for us. He gave an awesome blessing. We had family over at Todd & Gayle's after for chili burgers and sundaes. It was lots of fun.
I've been planning Kinsey's bridal shower and I'm getting excited about it. I decided to just make the invitations myself instead of calling everyone. I really don't like calling people. So mom helped me and we have them planned so now i just have to get over there and do it. :)
Not much else is new. Gavin is growing like crazy and he's getting really good at grabbing things and putting them in his mouth. ha He can almost roll over back to tummy now, and his voice box is developing at a rapid pace. He is getting so loud. Hayley had him laughing during General Conference today. So cute. It's hard to concentrate when he's around.

Spring is here!!

Wow! I love warm weather! Today was so nice out! I just got back from a walk with Ty, Gavin, and Daisy. :) No wind, and warm. It doesn't get any better.
Speaking of spring. Daisy is in heat. yay!...not. ha it's going to be a pain to keep all the neighborhood dogs away from her. There are about 3 males that are frequent visitors to our house, so it should be interesting.
We went out to Grandma Torrie's house today to see it as hers for the last time. That was fun, brought back a lot of memories. It'll be weird not ever going there again.
On the way home, Bri and I stopped at Litchfield's to see my horses. Wrangler is looking good! He should be ready to come home in a couple weeks. Yay!! I'm so excited. I've been waiting so long to ride him. The other horses were out in the field so i didn't get to see him, so I'll have to go out there again another time. I'm going to sell my yearling, and then all that money will go to pay for wrangler's training. Anyways that's my rambling for the day. I don't have any pictures uploaded so i'll post some later.

random...

I finally got to sleep again last night! It was so nice. 8 hours! Two nights Gavin was up for hours, it was brutal. I probably shouldn't complain, but he's always slept good so when he doesn't it just about puts me over the edge. He had a little bit of a cold and just would not sleep. So both nights i was up for like 5 hours or more just holding him. :P anyways i'm done venting and he's all better.
Moving on, the last few days Ty and I have been doing lots of planning thd figuring out how we can get our year supply and 72 hour kit. We talked about it quite a bit before but we decided we have to just do it. So we went on the LDS website and used the little calculator to figure how many pounds of what we would need and what they suggested. CRAZY! We would need 748 pounds of grain alone. I have no idea where we are going to store it. Were just going to get some of everything for now and store it...somewhere. Ty gets paid monday so we're going to do a costco run and get a few things. We started our first aid supplies and matches and random things that we could get at Walmart. I think it's fun actually, ha i might be weird but it feels good to be prepared. I was reading on the LDS website,as i said before, and it said that we've been told by the prophets for the last 60 years to have a year supply! That's a long time and you think about it and i know a lot of people that don't have enough groceries to make it for a week.
Me included right now. Well maybe more than a week if we had power. We have a whole dear in our freezer and ty stalked up on sardines and oysters. Sick. Anyways that's besides the point and i'm just rambling.
Next topic ha Gayle got a walker that a couple she knows got across the border without being caught. So i'm excited about that, it might help his bald spot ha. No i'm kidding he really likes it so far. :)

Last night he slept 1 to 9 and then went back to sleep in our bed til 12:45

Spring Break

Wednesday was Ty's last day of work! I'm so excited! It's going to be nice having him around all the time.

Headed to Lethbridge.

Ty plays basketball Monday and Thursday in a mens league in Lethbridge. So that's usually our Costco trip and other Lethbridge errands. This time we went with his parents and ate at Moxie's for lunch.

Gavin and I both have colds so the last couple days haven't been that fun. I think he's starting to feel better today because i got him to laugh and 'talk' to us. So cute!

New House

Saturday was the big move. We had tons of help, thanks to our family and friends. I had to go into Taber just as we got started to sign for a storage unit (we have to much stuff for this tiny house) and when i got back the house was just about empty. It was awesome! After we got everything in the house and the kitchen unpacked, we ordered pizza and called it a day.

This is our dog Daisy. She is a 10 month old boxer.

Daisy suffers from an extreme case of separation anxiety. This is what it makes her to do.

I don't really need to say anymore. I'm just glad the couch was free and it's ugly anyways. When things like this happen, i always think, laugh or cry? And i don't like crying so i laugh. But i still have to clean it up. So it's really not that funny.
So... if your going to get a dog i would suggest something more like this.

Chaos

Two weeks ago we got notice that we had to be out of our house by March 2nd. The landowners lost the house to foreclosure, and have been lying to us the last four months, which we knew but there wasn't a whole lot we could do about it. So we are moving. To where. We don't know yet. We have two options. A tiny trailer, or a bigger trailer. :) We obviously want the bigger trailer and we get to find out tomorrow. Yay! It has 3 bedrooms, one bathroom, full basement and a two car garage. It also comes with an acre of land. The guy wants to work out a lease to own deal, so that might be the way we go. Lots of decisions, and no time to think.
I finally got boxes and started packing yesterday. I'm actually getting excited now. I really don't like the layout of the house we're in, and i especially don't like our landlords. So it's going to be good. Gavin is going to get his own room, which is exciting. It really stinks putting him down and then having to sneak around and be really quiet. Especially when Ty is home, we can't even talk when we get into bed. Not fun.
Anyways that's all kinda depressing. Here's my little guy, he tends to cheer things up!
